De campagne Weet Waar je Koopt is een initiatief van poppodia Melkweg, Watt, Effenaar en daarnaast Mojo Concerts, de Vereniging Nederlandse Poppodia en Festivals (VNPF), de Vereniging Schouwburg- en Concertgebouwdirecties (VSCD) en de Vereniging Van EvenementenMakers (VVEM).
Inmiddels hebben enorm veel organisaties uit de muziek- en evenementenbranche en vele artiesten zich bij de campagne aangesloten. De volledige lijst van organisaties en artiesten die de campagne ondersteunen staat hier rechts.

Everyday thousands of people buy there tickets to concerts, theaterplays, football games and other events through the internet. What a lot of folks don''t know is that next to the official online ticketsales reps. there are also a lot of site which re-sell these tickets. They buy them on a large scale and sell them with the one and only intend "Make (a lot of) Profit".

As a visitor you pay a lot more when ordering through these sites, most of the time none notices the difference in pricing. Sometimes the price of the original ticket is doubled or even tripled. More often than not these tickets are no guarantee that you will be able to attend the concert.

The resell of tickets, through these websites is not with the consent of the Artist of Organizer. Very often they create an artificial shortage of tickets, and there are not many tickets left with the original pricing. This artificial shortage is not only created with events that are already started with the sale of tickets, but also with events where the tickets sale still has to be initiated. These tickets also are sold for a price that is way to high.

So it''s about time that we tell you where and how to buy your eventtickets in a safe manner.

This campain "Weet waar je koopt" (know where to buy your tickets) is an initiativ of the Melkweg, Watt, Effenaar and also Mojo Concers and the Dutch Assosiation of Popvenues and Festivals (NVPF), the Association of Theater and Concertbuilding (VSCD) and the Dutch association of Eventmakers (VVEM).
